The women’s wing of the Akhila Karnataka Bhovi Vaddara Yuva Vedike has demanded that the State government not take action to implement the A.J. Sadashiva Commission recommendations. While submitting a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to the Deputy Commissioner of Raichur on Friday, members of the vedike said that the recommendations of the commission were unscientific and against the Bhovi and other communities like Bhovi. They also demanded that the government take action against those who allegedly threatened legislators Shivaraj Tangadagi and Manappa Vajjal for raising their voice against the commission’s recommendations. The Bhovi, the Koracha, the Korama, the Banjara and other communities would launch State-wide agitations shortly demanding that the recommendations be dropped, they added.
